Corporate responsibility

Sharing time and resources to support youth

We’re dedicated to making a positive, measurable impact in the lives of young people in the communities where we work. Our way of amplifying that impact is Imprivata Cares, an employee-founded organization focused on giving back. Through Imprivata Cares, team members channel their knowledge and passion, supporting initiatives that range from seasonal donation drives to hands-on building projects to long-term youth mentoring partnerships.

A small group of employee volunteers with a passion for giving back founded iCares many years ago. It continues to grow today, with a focus on making a difference and producing a positive impact on our community.

Mentoring teen entrepreneurs

Partnering with Build Boston, volunteers spend nine months mentoring Boston-area high school students. Teens learned to develop products, pitch and market them, and, ultimately, launched real businesses.

We love empowering these students to problem-solve and work collaboratively, so even when we’re not mentoring, we find other ways to sponsor events and get involved.

The power of play

Celebrating the power of play

Our annual President’s Club trip includes a service project to benefit youth in communities in need. Visiting Turks & Caicos in 2018, attendees built play structures from recycled materials for the Edward C. Gartland Youth Centre.

In 2019, Imprivata volunteers donated, shipped, and assembled approximately 100 bicycles for children in Pago, Bora Bora, working with local leaders and The Sport Centre.

Brightening tough times

Brightening tough times

Team members in our UK office work closely with the Post Pals charity and Wrap Up London, bringing joy and warmth to those in our community who need it most.

Whether encouraging seriously ill children with cards, letters, emails, and small gifts, or ensuring that those with high needs stay warm in the winter, our team loves giving back.

Opening the door to STEM

Opening the door to STEM

Our volunteers frequently welcome groups from The Boys & Girls Club of Dorchester United Way, BoSTEM and Crossroads for Kids for an energetic day of hands-on STEM activities and experiential learning.

We also partner with BoSTEM to encourage middle schoolers to apply STEM skills in an exciting, real-world context. (Plus, who doesn’t like playing with ping pong balls?)
